Hi, I'm Manabu. Born and raised in Japan, with a love for sharing it.
I founded Tokyo Genki Tours to walk Tokyo with travelers the way I'd walk it with a friend. No scripts. No tourist traps. Just real stories from real locals.
"Genki" (元気) means energetic, lively, in good spirits. That's what every tour should feel like.
After studying in Australia and traveling through the Americas, I came home with a fresh appreciation for Tokyo. So I started building a small team of fellow Japanese locals who share it.
We currently walk Asakusa, with more neighborhoods on the way.
