Hi, we’re Robert & István! 👋 Two Budapest locals, two different personalities, and one shared passion: this city and the incredible stories behind it. We were both born and raised in Hungary and have been guiding since 2021. We love history, travel, culture and meeting people from around the world. For us, a great tour shouldn’t feel like a history lecture — it should feel like exploring Budapest with a local friend who happens to know a ridiculous amount about it. Robert spent part of his life in Canada, where he picked up the fine art of saying “eh” and apologising unnecessarily — sorry! He’s a Hungarian-Canadian history buff, movie fan and foodie, so expect local legends, movie references and probably a restaurant recommendation or two. István is a professional musician, licensed tour guide and passionate traveller who has explored more than 40 countries. He brings that same curiosity home to Budapest — he loves meeting new people, sharing stories and making every tour a conversation. Whichever one of us is guiding you, questions are always welcome — and we’ve both been known to reward a good one. 😉 What brings us together is a genuine love for Budapest and sharing it with others. We want you to laugh, ask questions, hear the strange stories as well as the serious ones, and leave feeling like you actually got to know our city.
