Hey there! My name is André and I'm part of the Freewalk Cologne family. After traveling for a while, I ended up in the city of Cologne and it fascinated me. Now, I can't imagine living anywhere else, especially after starting working with Freewalk Cologne.
The company started 10 years ago when a bunch of locals in love with their city had a goal to show tourists Cologne through the eyes of locals and give everyone the „kölsche Gefühl“, the Cologne feeling. And nowadays, we're still here, ready to welcome you to Cologne and show you the hidden corners of our home!
If you'd like to learn about Cologne in a fun way, don't hesitate and join us! We love our city and we wanna share this love with you!
The tour was underwhelming. It didn't help that the tour guide (Alex) started off with telling us he expected at least 15-20 euros per person and then repeated that same sentiment another 3 or 4 times. I am aware the tours are not really 'free' and I usually always make it a point to leave some money, however the fact that the expectation of payment was repeated multiple times (while also promoting another tour he was leading right fater!) left me with a really bad impression. Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the tour guide telling us that he hadn't prepared anything specific to say, which was also reflected in the way the tour was executed - he did not have a lot of information about the city and whatever information he did have, he kept repeating. Overall it was the worst free city tour I have personally been on and I would not recommend it at all, you're better off exploring the city on your own.
Danke! Es hat unseren Tag besonders gemacht!
