Hue Food Tour

I lucked out and I was the only person who booked the tour for a Sunday night. I didn’t know what to expect but my guide was really knowledgeable about the food and its origins and provided a strong glimpse of Hue’s culinary offers. Highly recommend it.

Huy was extremely delightful to have. Taking you to restaurants and cafe that only the locals go to which is always a treat as you get to truly have a taste of what Hue has to offer. The food that he showcases are unique and delicious. If you want to taste what Hue has to offer, this will definitely be a very good place to start

First off, all of the dishes we ate were delicious and unique to Hue. Each dish came with a story that tied it into the local history and culture. The conversation was enjoyable and it was nice to have a short walk between restaurants in order to let food settle a little. I would 100% recommend this tour for those wanting good eats and a chance to delve into the lives of the locals.

This food tour was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Hue. We tried amazing local dishes at hidden local spots we’d never have found on our own. Our guide Huy was super friendly and knowledgeable. Come hungry - highly recommended!

I was traveling during low-season and was the only person signed up - but Huy still did the whole tour with me! I was so surprised and so happy that he still met me and showed me around! Delicious local food spots!! I can highly recommend :))

The experience was amazing!! Mi father and I really loved every meal. Huy explained us how the food is prepared and how we should eat it. He also told us the story of where every dish comes from, which was very interesting! We really felt like a local, because there were no tourists in any of the places we went. My recommendation: make sure you go with the stomach empty because you will want to try everything twice! Thank you Huy, hugs from Spain :)

We learned a lot from Huy about the history of the city, the food, and Vietnam. All the food was really tasty as well. We did the palace tour earlier in the day as well, and we learned a lot there and felt like it connected the dots on what we learned after doing the food tour in the evening. I recommend the tours from HuebyLocals!

Very friendly guide with fantastic English, really delicious food, and a great route. We visited places and tried dishes which are very popular among locals and outside of the tourist areas. It was a really great way of seeing the 'local' Hue - and getting a very full and satisfied belly!

Excellent tour! Huy was very nice, informative, and easy to chat with like a new friend. Great amount of walking and eating around. Really fabulous food and it was great to get a real taste of the local spots and authentic food! Great variety and he was careful to find out about diets before visiting places. Better than other food tours where you always have the basics- this dives into a food culture that most tourists won't see. Highly recommend this tour - I'm a true foodie- and this was top notch! Giving 10 stars if I could!

I had an absolutely fantastic food tour in Hue with Du. She was a wonderful guide, warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. Du took us to a range of authentic local spots that we would never have found on our own, each offering something unique and delicious. What really stood out was how thoroughly she explained each dish, its ingredients, how it’s made, and the cultural significance behind it. Did the Hue Walking Food Tour with guide Rose. She was very friendly and had a good menu planned. Our group was got along well and had good chats along the way. We tried various local food, all delicuous. Rose was entertaining and explained what we were having at each stop. I had food that I would not have found on my own. Highly recommended to get familiar with local food.
