Night Tour İstanbul

Dr Sib was wonderful. I was the only person on the tour because of the extreme hot weather. Instead of canceling, he came just for me! He provided a warm, friendly and personal tour of all the major sights. And he was patient with my questions. I highly recommend taking his tour! He clearly loves his city and shares his passion with his guests.

We really enjoyed the tour and it was very informative.. Although we did not enter in the Topkapi Palae for example, Emreh showed us pictures and told us what we could see inside.

Dr.Sib was very reliable and turned up even though there were only 3 of us. He made a great effort to show us all sorts of interesting extra things as well as the things promised such as inside the wonderful Blue mosque. He was calm and very nice and fun and gave us an ice cream! He was good at answering all questions and was very knowledgeable.

A very informative tour

I really enjoyed the evening tour. It's a good thing to do when you arrive in Istanbul because you will get to know your way aound some of the major historical sites. Emrah was impressively knowlegeable! He told us about the monuments and the history of the city. Also, he was easy to reach and willing to give info about other activities or public transport for example. Doing this tour with Emrah is a must do to start your trip.

The tour was full of interesting information and i would recommend taking it at the start of a trip to Istanbul. The guide was professional and he was happy to answer all our questions. In particular he made an effort to engage our 14 year old son which was much appreciated.

Great man with a lot of knowledge. We got in some places what was not on the trip and he is able to improvise based on your questions and requests. Great tour!

Dr Sib offers an alternative to the standard sightseeing tour by explaining the architectural and historical reasons why the sights are so beautiful. If you're looking for "fun", as in jokes and recommendations for bars, this might not be the tour for you. But if one is looking to truly understand and admire the City of the Three Empires, Dr Sib is the guide for you. Also, the group sizes are very cozy, no shouting and a possibility for conversations.

I was the only one to arrive, Emrah was nice and offered to do a tour just for me, very informative, especialy about Islamic religion

It was a good overview of Istanbul historic district. We were given an option to enter the Blue Mosque in the evening (less busy time). Illuminated historic district was gorgeous! Emrah is a knowledgeable and experienced guide.

Great cover of main historical events and monuments in the area! We enjoyed walking with Dr. Sib. He is highly knowledgable and passionate for architecture and Konstantinapole history. We visited the Blue Mosque together and he explained many interesting elements about it. He also provided good recommendations what else to see and do in the area and how to avoid common tourist traps.

Our guide Nurullah was excellent. He is a 26-year old freelance computer scientist, with passion for history, and gives these tours as a second job. He was very knowledgeable, interested in sharing information, and well spoken. The only negative was that our tour was booked for 9:00am, but we got a message from Dr. Sib early in the morning that it will start at 8:30 as he had some emergency. We called him and he was very apologetic, and arranged for his friend Nurullah to be our guide starting at 8:45. So the last minute change was a surprise, but it all worked out well since Nurullah was excellent.

I highly recommend Istanbul nighttime journey tour with Emrah. He shared very much interesting history and made the experience both engaging and relaxing. A great way to explore the city by night!
