Free walking tours in Łódź

I really enjoyed this tour. As with the best walking tours, Sebastian really passed on his love of his own city. A really worthwhile 2.5 hours to see the highlights of the city centre and get an overview of the history of Lodz and where it is today.

I was the only person who signed up for the tour, but Sebastian still led it with so much passion and dedication — it felt like a private walk through the city with a friend. He has a wonderful way of conveying the spirit and history of Łódź. What I loved most was how he pointed out small, easily missed details that reveal the soul and story of the city. Highly recommended — thank you, Sebastian!

I happened to be the only guest on Sebastian's "From Industrial Empire to Film, Art & Culture" tour, and it felt like exploring the city with a knowledgeable local friend. He told Łódź's story brilliantly, from the textile boom and the factory barons to the film school, street art and today's creative scene, connecting everything into one fascinating narrative. Sebastian is witty, passionate and happy to answer every question, plus he gave me great tips for the rest of my stay. One of the highlights of my trip to Poland. Highly recommended!

Sebastian was such a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide! We had to adjust our tour because of some travel mix ups and he was super accommodating and willing to adjust for us. He really helped us understand the fascinating history of Lodz that would be nearly impossible to really know without a guide. Sebastian pointed out interesting things about buildings that were right by our Airbnb and we’d never really noticed. He also helped us find a great restaurant for zalewajka soup (Lodz regional soup) at the end. Really highly recommend his tour. 10/10!!

I did the Lodz walking tour with Mateusz today. He is a very nice, fun and knowledgeable tour guide who has been living in Lodz his whole life. The tour was immensely informative, from Polish history to current affairs in Lodz, and he also answered our question in detail. 5/5 stars.

I wished the walking tour could have places much further away from the city center.

5 stars. ✨✨✨✨✨We went to Łódź with no expectations except hopefully to have a great time exploring the city. We did not know much of Łódź, so we decided to go on a GuruWalk Tour. To our surprise, Łódź was a hidden gem, a beauty in disguise — all thanks to Sebastian our tour guide who unlocked all the wonders for us. This city is VERY UNDERRATED. It has so much art, so much history, so much potential. Our tour guide Sebastian told us the city was like a coin, with two sides — the main market street (which is one of the longest market streets in Europe) and the courtyards. Sebastian’s a superb tour guide for Łodź, he said gave us such great stories of every place and the history and the art. Amazing. He told us where to eat. Ato — best ramen EVER that I have tried so far. We also tried Anatewka, a very rich in culture restaurant with interesting dishes like beef tongue, duck kidneys, blood soup, etc. for those who are adventurous: Definitely coming back with other friends and family! Thanks Sebastian for your time. Priceless!

We had a great walking tour in Łódź with Sebastian at the end of june! From the very beginning, he was so friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to. His special knowledge of the city's history, culture, and hidden gems made the tour both fascinating and enjoyable. What really stood out was his genuine passion and love for Łódz. We you could feel how much he cares about sharing its unique character with us. Even though it was a very hot day, he never rushed us and took plenty of time to answer questions and make sure we had a great experience. The tour was well organized, engaging, and full of interesting stories that you wouldn't discover on your own. Sebastian also shared great local recommendations afterwards and gave us a much deeper appreciation for the city. If you're visiting Łódź, we highly recommend this tour. It was informative, entertaining, and truly one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you, Sebastian, for this experience! Dziękujemy!

Sebastián talks about the making of Łódź, not long explanations about wars, dates, etc. Łódź culture takes center stage in much of his presentation. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Sebastian gave us a very informative tour of Lodz. He provided alot of interesting history of the city and told us about what occurred in the city during World War 2. I liked the information on current Lodz and the current industries. He showed us a lot of different sites, courtyards, murals, and architecture. This was a great walking tour and I would highly recommend it.
