We are two 21-year-old Economics and Law students who are passionate about our city, and its fervent culture and history. We would love to share our knowledge so other people can enjoy from the city and its most remarkable places as well as the San Fermín party in the town that we grew up in. We decided to become guides because we believe that we have the required skills. We have good communication abilities which have been improved throughout our experience in college, we are highly interested in Pamplona and its historical and cultural roots and we believe that it is possible to learn and have fun at the same time for both parts, the guides, and the listeners.
Through this Tour, you will feel the thrilling and unique experience that a regular runner of the bulls senses during San Fermin. We will follow the running of the bull's path which goes through the most emblematic attractions of the city of Pamplona, but we will also deviate from the route in order to visit some other well known and hidden places and corners inside the city. We will explain how, when and why the San Fermin festival started, going all the way back to its origin. Moreover, we cannot understand the international phenomenon of San Fermin without the transcendental influence of Ernest Hemingway, the literature Nobel prize winner who used to gather in Café Iruña, one of the most representative cafés in the whole city (and one our "out of route" stops). All in all, our main goal with this tour is to make people understand in an interactive way the city we grew up in.
We will meet in Plaza del Ayuntamiento or Plaza Consistorial, in a cafe called "Cookie Shop".
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
