Tour description

If you're a film buff or lover of literature, you must see the Latin Quarter, home to famous writers, artists and philosophers!

The tour will start off at Shakespeare and Co, the beloved Anglophone bookstore, and finish at the Pantheon, where the luminaries of France are buried. On the way, you will see the best of this artistic and youthful neighbourhood. We will see filming locations for movies like Midnight in Paris, Before Sunset, La La Land, Ratatouille and Charade, as well as the old stomping grounds of the greats such as Hemingway, De Beauvoir, Salvador Dalí in the roaring '20s. As a resident of this neighbourhood and a student at a French university, I'll be able to supplement this history/cultural knowledge with off-the beaten track recommendations, so you can experience the Latin Quarter like a local!

Sights on the walk:

Shakespeare and Company bookstore

Notre Dame Cathedral

Fontaine-Saint Michel

The Church of Saint-Séverin

The Sorbonne University

The Luxembourg gardens

Church of Sainte-Geneviève

The Panthéon

Rue Mouffetard market street

+ Filming locations for iconic movies and the haunts of famous writers/artists
