I am an outgoing and friendly person, I studied tourism in 2 majors (tourist accommodation and also tourist business) for 4 years and since then I have been working as a local guide in Merida for 3 years. I love helping people and recommending places near Mérida so that they can get to know more places in the Peninsula. I love sharing the history of my city and also talking about the Mayan culture with travelers; get them to go back to the past during my Walking Tour experience. We will meet in the Plaza de Grande located in the heart of Mérida.
Then, I will tell you about the conquest of Mérida and then we will start with the explanation of some important places in the heart of Mérida such as La Casa del Conquistador, San Idelfonso Cathedral, El Gran Hotel, Tercera Orden Church, Peón Contreras Theater and Santa Park, Lucy.
Also on this tour I will tell you some stories about Aluxes and personal experiences with these mythical creatures, the Creation of Cenotes, the Confident chairs and the typical Yucatan Food.
At the end of this tour, I will give you a map of the city and show you other places you can visit after the tour or during your stay in Merida and you will get some typical Mexican sweets.
