Fernando was such a great tour guide! Really flexible about start time and places to visit. After visiting the Mayan ruins, he helped us purchase a few souvenirs, toured the market for tropical fruit, and sat by the lagoon to try it. Definitely recommended! Amazing knowledge of not only the area, but all El Salavador. He was very charismatic and friendly. What a Fantastic Tour! Even though the country was on a red alert because of the hurricane in the Pacific and we had rain most of the day, Fernando gave us an amazing tour! We had the BEST time with Fernando! He showed us all the highlights of Chalchuapa and was incredibly interesting, engaging, and funny. His tour went way above my expectations as he taught us about the local history, botany, indigenous people, education system, and more. The ruins don't have an information signs up, so his guidance made the visit worthwhile. As an easy little trip out of Santa Ana, this is a great activity for anyone visiting the area :)
