I didn't expect a lot from this tour as it covered a relatively small area, but wow was I wrong. This was genuinely informative, gave an insight to Qatari life, and gave us multiple interactions with locals that never felt touristic. Absolutely worth doing to appreciate Doha and Qatar past the instagramable moments

We’ve taken a lot of GURU tours around the world but this was the best one! I can tell you we felt like we were part of the town! We’d been walking this area for two days yet Hussain opened the doors for us to the community, the local knowledge, the history and so much more. And he made it fun! If you go to Qatar take Hussain’s Guru Walk!!

A great evening touring Souq Waqif. Our guide was so friendly, open-minded, understanding, and accommodating. He showed us all the highlights but also some of the local spots. It was so great to learn about the people, the culture and history. He welcomed questions and discussion. He went the extra mile to show hospitality. The people in general were so kind and respectful. We will definitely be back to Doha for a longer holiday.

I usually don’t give five stars but Hussain was absolutely the best guide I could find. He showed me all the places mentioned and explained everything very clearly. He answered all my questions and even took some great pictures and videos. It was kind of him to buy me a tea too. If you’re in Qatar, I highly recommend joining a walking tour with him.

Hussein”s knowledge of Doha’s history and the character of the Qatari people added so much depth to the visit - he wasn’t just showing us places, he was helping us understand the culture and people behind them. He knew every hidden corner and intricate lane of the souk, taking us well beyond the usual tourist path to spots we would never have found on our own. What really stood out was how thoughtful he was about our comfort - it was the height of the July heat in Doha, and he carefully planned our route to keep us out of direct sun as much as possible, making sure the walk stayed enjoyable rather than exhausting. Our kids absolutely loved him; he had a natural way of keeping them engaged and entertained throughout. Beyond the souk, he also shared great recommendations for other places worth visiting in Doha, which we ended up using for the rest of our trip. If you’re visiting Doha and want a guide who combines deep local knowledge, genuine warmth, and real attentiveness to your comfort, he’s the one to ask for. Highly recommend!
