Tour description

Discover with me the history of the Villa de Cocentaina, famous for its annual Fair since 1346.
We will learn about the history of a population of medieval origin that keeps vestiges that will not leave you indifferent and its passage to the present day.

On the tour we will visit the following points:

El Salvador: Church built in the 16th century on an old mosque.
El Raval and views of the Cocentaina Castle: We will discover the urban layout of the Moorish neighborhoods.
Market Square: One of the busiest places in Cocentaina both in trade and in the Cocentaina Fair.
El Palau de los Condes: Building of Muslim origin from the 12th century that was converted into the home of the Counts.
Church of Santa Maria: Church built in the 13th century.
Pla la Font Square: Picturesque and landscaped square where the old public services related to water used to meet.
City hall.
La Torreta: The medieval defensive enclosure that was built from the 13th century.
Merín Building: Rationalist style building built in 1930.
