I've done over 30 free walking tours around the world and Haktan's was one of the best. He comes from an academic background, and this shines in his tour content; extremely deep historical knowledge, paired with wit, humour and an ability to engage the entire group. His recommendations for things to do and places to eat have set me up for the remainder of my time in Turkiye. Thank you Haktan!

I had a great time touring around with Ferhat. It really helped familiarise myself with local noms and acted as a perfect jumping off point on the subsequent days!

This was my second tour with Haktan, booked on the strength of the previous one which covered the old town of Sultanahmet. I highly recommend both of these tours as a great way to see the sights of both the European and Asian sides of Istanbul and Haktan was the perfect guide - approachable, friendly and very, very knowledgeable. He brought detailed information on history and culture, as well as wit and charm to this journey between two continents.

Probably my favourite walking tour guide of all the many tours in the many cities I've visited. He is so hilarious and so friendly and helpful. I've done both of his Istanbul walking tours twice and have recommended them to everyone I know coming to Istanbul.

We did several free walking tour around the world. The quality of the guides are always very good. We weren’t surprised by the quality of the tour but Hatkan is an excellent speaker, entertainer and savy historian. We really enjoyed the personality of Hatkan. A must to do in Istanbul . Thanks you

Ferhad does a great job explaining the food culture, what to eat and when, and takes you to the top spots for the various categories. All food you must purchase if you want to try which is different from past tours I have taken where you get a small sample. I had hoped to see more interesting / historical sites as part of the tour, but that was not advertised in description and not something we had an opportunity to do. We really enjoyed the tour.

Great tour. Excellent historian with a good sense of humor. If we had more time and the weather had cooperated we would have done his other tour.
