Dear all! This tour is focused on history, art & cultural heritage of Berat. I will show you top places to visit in my city.

Our meeting point will be in city centre, just at the square in front of Saint Demetrius Cathedral. Is very easy to recognise me, I have a badge with guruwalk logo. After introduction, we are going to the most photographed part of Berat, at the view point of Mangalemi’s quarter. After wondering the old quarter of Mangalemi, we will visit the old bridge of Gorice and the old quarter of Gorice.
The next stop is the Medieval center which consists of the Helvetic Tekke and the King's Mosque.
Next, we visit the renovations of the complex of houses belonging to the Pasha of Berat.
And the last stop and the most important, inside the most beautiful house in Berat. Which is also one of the oldest houses. This house is decorated with beautiful paintings on the walls, having also a beautiful woody ceiling. This house guarantee the real feeling of a traditional house.

The museum ensemble of the Mangalem district is spread in the shape of a semiarch on the southern and eastern part of the castle hill. This residential complex may have been one of the first to represent the development of the medieval city outside the fortification walls during the century XV-XVI thus forming the varosh area. The unique and original architecture of the houses seems to belong mainly to the construction phase of the century. XVIII-XIX with the combination of stone and wood elements.
The ensemble of the Gorica neighborhood takes place in the lower part of a hilly height, which is crowned at the top with a fortification from the ancient period. The Bachelors Mosque is a monument of the first category with numerous architectural values and represents a high achievement in the level of construction of cult objects in the city of Berat. It is located on the lower side of the Mangalem neighborhood and was built at the beginning of the XIX century.
It must have been built in the year 1600. Teqeja e Helvetive, is a monument which represents one of the best achievements of architecture in the city of Berat. Teqeja was built in the 15th century and rebuilt by Ahmet Kurt Pasha at the end of the 70s of the 18th century and belongs to the Helvetic sect, which is one of the sects of Islam and serves a certain group.
The church of Holy Trinity from XIV century, is one of the most beautiful byzantine churches of Balkan. This church respect all the architectonical details of byzantine empire, with the tecnique of stones and bricks. This church is the symbol of the churches of Berat.
