My interest is that I like to show people around my city, share my perspectives and stories, and give you viewpoints from what you would get from just traveling on your own. Embark on a group tour to Cu Chi Tunnels and rustic countryside sightseeing. Explore the war's history with a documentary, crawl through reconstructed chambers, learn about handmade weapons, savor guerrilla food, and even try shooting at the range
These are the highlights of the trip and what you will do with me:
1. Upon arrival, watch the documentary about the Vietnam War.
2. Learning how we made tunnels and booby traps
3. Walking and crawling underground tunnels
4. Eating lunch with tapioca.
5. Visting shooting range.
The itinerary of the tour:
Get picked up at the meeting place and then we will travel beyond the typical city tourist spots to a local neighborhood of Cu Chi, where you feel tranquil, peaceful, and happy while driving through many green rice fields, rubber plantations, and water buffalos.
When you arrive, we will do the following activities:
1: Watching a documentary film about the Vietnam War. Subsequently, we show you the diagram of Cu Chi tunnels and how it constructed with kitchens, bedrooms, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers.
2. We will see booby traps and trapdoors. The trip's highlight is to experience of crawling and walking through the cramped and narrow passageways. There are now reconstructed chambers for you to see, as it was in the time of war
3. Learning more about the handmade weapons and traps used during the Vietnam War. Learning how the local guerrillas made the sandals from truck tires too
4. Drink hot tea and eat tapioca (guerilla food during the war) at the last stop. And last but not least, if you are interested, we can visit the shooting range, at an extra cost.
5. Lastly, We will go to the main road and catch the local bus again to return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Note:
This tunnel tour lasts 6 hours because the tunnel is not located in the city, it is 60 km away from the city center.
This tour needs at least 5 people. We can pick you up at your hotel address in central districts 1, 3, and 4.
Other local districts will meet at Saigon Opera House, our meeting place.
There are two slots/ per day:
+) Morning Slot starts at 8:00 Am
+) Afternoon Slot starts at 12:00 Pm
I highly recommend choosing the afternoon slot to avoid the tourists and crowded groups in the tunnels, it is fewer people who visit the tunnels in the afternoon.
We can pick you up at your hotel address in central districts 1, 3, and 4. Other local districts will meet at Saigon Opera House, our meeting place.
Ben Thanh Market which is our meeting point
