We are a young team that left Spain in 2009 and we are in London to create this beautiful project. At the request of our "walkers" we grew up in Paris, Dublin, Budapest, Cordoba, Cadiz, Porto, Lisbon, Segovia, Salamanca, Rome and Athens teaching these cities to thousands of Spanish speakers. We are professional guides and we are madly in love with every corner of the cities we teach.

Tour description

Dublin dresses in light and tradition during the Christmas season. Discover its unique atmosphere and the main customs of the Irish people with the help of an official Spanish-speaking guide.

We will start our visit at Dublin Castle, where we will learn about the origins of Christmas and some curiosities, such as where Santa Claus's office is located and what the 'Dublin Winter Lights' festival consists of, an initiative that for years has illuminated and filled Christmas with magic in the capital of Ireland.

At Barnardo Square, one of the places that often feature in this project, we will learn more about how it works and in what other locations we can enjoy the show. Here we will also delve into the meaning of Irish traditions of placing candles in the windows or holly wreaths on the doors of homes.

We will discover what the 'Christmas Pantomimes' consist of or the ancient customs celebrated during St. Stephen's Day throughout the country in front of the iconic Olympia Theatre, before strolling through the heart of the emblematic Temple Bar, the best place to immerse ourselves in a unique Christmas atmosphere in the world.

Parliament Square and Grafton Street await us to learn what the Irish eat at Christmas, where they shop, or how they wish each other happy holidays in Gaelic. We will also be surprised by some unique traditions, such as the Christmas swim.
We will finish in front of Mansion House, while we learn how New Year's Eve and New Year are celebrated in the city or what Women's Christmas consists of. Nollaig Shona Duit!

Important: In 2025, the popular 'Christmas at the Castle' market, hosted by Dublin Castle, will not take place due to governmental needs for the Irish presidency of the EU during the coming year.
