My name is Mundhir, a passionate Zanzibar tour guide and the owner of Kivuli Tours and Safaris. I was born and raised in Zanzibar, an island rich in history, culture, nature, and unforgettable experiences For me, tourism is more than simply taking visitors from one place to another. It is about creating meaningful experiences, sharing stories, connecting people with local communities, and helping travelers understand the real Zanzibar beyond the beautiful beaches. As a tour guide, I specialize in creating and organizing memorable experiences across Zanzibar, including Stone Town historical tours, Spice Tours, Prison Island, Nakupenda Sandbank, Mnemba Island, Safari Blue, Jozani Forest, and other cultural and nature experiences. I also help travelers discover Tanzania’s incredible safari destinations, including national parks such as Serengeti and Mikumi. One of the things I enjoy most about my work is meeting people from different countries and learning about their cultures while sharing my own. Every traveler arrives with different interests and expectations, so I always try to make each experience personal, comfortable, informative, and enjoyable. I particularly enjoy telling the stories behind Zanzibar’s historic places. From the narrow streets of Stone Town to the old buildings, markets, former slave-trade sites, and ancient doors, I believe history becomes much more powerful when it is told through real stories and local perspectives. I also love introducing visitors to Zanzibar’s natural treasures. During Spice Tours, for example, travelers can discover cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla, turmeric, nutmeg, and many other plants while learning how they are traditionally used by local communities. My goal through Kivuli Tours and Safaris is to provide authentic, responsible, and memorable travel experiences. I want every guest who travels with me to leave Zanzibar not only with beautiful photographs, but also with stories, knowledge, friendships, and memories that stay with them for years
