Free walking tours in Bern

This tour was great. Our guide, Bartos, was really knowledgeable. He told us the historical facts, but also so many interesting things about the Swiss character, their habits, the reason s why "things work" in Switzerland. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and Bartos is a great story teller. Really recommend this tour!

Excellent tour. Very informational. We finished knowing more about Bern and Switzerland, including how Bern was involved with the formation of the country, the Swiss culture, and lots of historical facts. The tour was comprehensive and entertaining. Highly recommend the tour, and especially our guide Bartos.

BARTOS was one of the best guides I have walked with. He shared a lot of information about Bern and Switzerland in general making it relatable. He also conducted little multiple questions and quizzes which I found fun and entertaining as well as recalling the information. I would give him 5 stars

Fantástico tour! De los mejores que he hecho en mi vida, y he hecho muchos. Estábamos solo los niños y nosotros y eso no fue un problema para Juan. Fue encantador y nos enseñó la ciudad de una manera amena y a la vez enriquecedora. Nos transmitió sus conocimientos no solo de Berna sino de Suiza y nos fuimos enamorados de esta bella ciudad. 100% recomendable!!

Bartos led a fabulous tour today. Not only did we hear about the history of the places we could see, but also about the history and culture of Switzerland. All delivered in a really interesting and engaging way. If you’re in Bern, I’d highly recommend this tour to give you a flavour of the place, and plenty of ideas of what to do next.

Bartos was very intelligent and accommodating. He expressed lots of great history and local knowledge. Also it was a very hot day and he was careful to be sure our stops were in the shade with seats.

Hi, I and my wife did the guided walking tour of Bern with Bartos. We really enjoyed the 3 hour walk. Bartos is knowledgeable about Bern's history and patiently explained us and shared anecdotes all through the tour. He even did a small quiz at the end to check what people remembered :-) He is a very nice person. There was a heat wave on that particular day in Bern and he was carry extra umbrellas for the group just in case anyone needed it. He also volunteered to pay for a lift to get me down as I couldn't walk down stairs due to an injury in my foot. Highly recommend Bern guided tour with Bartos.
