Hallo, ich bin Rama und staatlich anerkannte Reiseleiterin aus der Sonderregion Yogyakarta! Ich bin in Yogyakarta geboren und aufgewachsen. Schon als Kind habe ich von meiner Großmutter viel über die Geschichte, Kunst und Kultur Javas, insbesondere Yogyakartas, gelernt. Und bis heute lerne ich immer wieder dazu und vertiefe mein Wissen über die javanische Geschichte, Kunst und Kultur aus verschiedenen Quellen. Ich denke, es wird mir viel Spaß machen, meine geliebte Stadt Yogyakarta, die viele verborgene Schätze und eine philosophische Vergangenheit birgt, mit anderen Menschen aus aller Welt und mit unterschiedlichem kulturellen Hintergrund zu teilen. I was the only one on the tour, and Rama gave me sooo much info over 3 hours about the cosomological axis of Jogja (philosophical meanings behind the city's urban planning), history of Jogja, how it's still a monarchy. This tour is more focused on the history of Jogja rather than the everyday life/culture of the city, so join if you're interested in that! It was interesting to see the different architecture from different eras, and get a sense of the city through the tour. He also gave me alot of advice and tips about the other attractions in Jogja, really appreciate it!
I arrived 15 minutes early and stayed 15 minutes past the meeting time. The guide never showed up and never sent any messages. Fortunately, there were some good gudeg restaurants by the meeting place so it wasn't a complete waste of time.

The tour with Rama was amazing first day experience in Yogyakarta! We got to see a few of the main sights and Rama had really interesting information about the city, especially the philosophy and art providing a lot of unexpected info snippets. The vibe was great and we even ended up having a local coffee together with the whole group afterwards. Rama also offered a lot of tips on what to do in Yogyakarta and was really helpful! Highly recommend!
I would highly recommend this tour and Rama as a guide :)
