Hi, I’m Robert!
Born and raised in Hungary, with a side quest in Canada (where I picked up the fine art of saying "eh" and apologizing unnecessarily-sorry), I'm a dual citizen; fluent in both Hungarian and English. Having lived most of my life in Budapest, I know this city like the back of my hand, but my time in Canada gave me a fresh appreciation for different cultures and perspectives.
I’m a passionate history buff, always digging into the fascinating stories behind Budapest’s iconic landmarks. Whether it’s ancient tales of kings and empires, legendary battles, royal drama or quirky local legends, I love bringing the city’s past to life. I believe every street has its story.
When I’m not immersed in history, I’m probably watching a movie(or quoting one) searching for a new film to add to my list—I’m a big movie fan and think Budapest has a deep cinematic history and flair.
And let’s not forget food! I'm always on the lookout for the best local eats, so expect a few food tips along the way (I may even sneak in a snack myself).

Once in a while on your travels you happen upon a “free” walking tour with an exceptional guide. Someone who makes the experience that much better than many of the other tours. Such was the case with our guide Robert on the All-in-one Budapest Free Walking Tour. What makes a guide exceptional? Robert knows Budapest. He knows the history well. He knows how to deliver it so that a group of, say 30 people, stay focused and interested. Inject some humour here, maybe a little bit of self deprecation, a quiz or a challenge with a prize. All of these things lead to a very enjoyable and rewarding experience. Top it off with a city guide, an invitation to contact him for help while in the city, as well as making himself available during the tour to answer questions and make suggestions. Many guides do these things but some do it better than others. Robert would be one who does it better.
This was a great way to see and hear about Budapest s history. Robert was excellent and we would heartily recommend this walking tour.
