I’m INDIKA, a Professional Licensed National Tourist Guide Lecturer in Sri Lanka born and raised in the heart of Colombo, with over a decade of experience guiding travelers across the island. I hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting and Finance and have more than 20 years of professional experience in the finance sector. I am also a qualified Gemologist, giving me an additional perspective on Sri Lanka’s world-renowned gemstone and jewellery heritage. 💎 But my greatest passion is Sri Lanka itself— its history, culture, people, traditions, religions, Local Foods, architecture, and everyday way of life. As a guide, I enjoy bringing Sri Lanka’s rich heritage to life through engaging stories, fascinating historical insights, Buddhist culture, local traditions, and authentic experiences of Sri Lankan life. My goal is not simply to show you places, but to help you understand the stories and people behind them. Today, I specialize particularly in walking tours in Colombo, where I introduce visitors to the many different sides of this fascinating city — from its colonial heritage and religious landmarks to bustling markets, historic streets, modern lifestyle, and hidden gems. Walking through Colombo gives you the opportunity to experience the city at street level: seeing its people, hearing its sounds, discovering its history, and experiencing the energy of everyday life. I speak English fluently, allowing me to communicate comfortably with travelers from different countries and cultures.
