I moved from Canada to Tel Aviv with my family in 2018, to escape the cold weather, preferring rockets over snow. I'd been in Israel before: During the 1990s I tried the religious lifestyle in Jerusalem, before returning to Toronto where I worked as a comedy writer, creating jokes for rising standup comedians in the USA and Canada. I also write comic books (for adults and kids).
I decided to create a tour of local terror attack sites in Tel Aviv after being a witness to some of these attacks and personally knowing people who were wounded...and because I currently live right next to the locations where they happened - the tour is simply part of my life.
I approach even the darkest subjects with a bit of humour, so you can expect a unique perspective when you walk this tragic path with me.
Jeffrey was an exceptional tour guide—warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. At each stop, he didn’t just explain the events and attacks that occurred but also thoughtfully connected them to the broader impact on Israeli society. He struck the perfect balance between seriousness and humor, making sure the experience was meaningful without being too heavy. I especially appreciated how patient and open he was with my questions. The pacing was just right, keeping me engaged the entire time. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tel Aviv who wants a deeper, more personal understanding of its history.
Very knowledgeable and fascinating history that needs to be heard.
Jeffrey is very knowledgeable and had a lot of sad stories to share.
Jeffrey gave a very informative tour of some sites in Tel Aviv where tragic bombings and terrorist attacks occurred. He had a binder with photos and backgrounds on some of the victims which made the tour more poignant. I was the only person on the tour and I appreciated that he did not cancel as a result. He also gave some good tips on food spots and other places to visit during my short stay in Tel Aviv.
