The tour with Luis was excellent. I am Argentine, and I took the tour in English in Buenos Aires, the capital of my country. Besides the guide, I was the only Argentine in the group, which means I already know the history of my country and of the city and still, I learned new perspectives and truly enjoyed the way everything was presented. Luis guided us for more than two and a half hours through the city center, sharing a great deal about our history and culture in another language. It was an extremely pleasant and dynamic morning. I imagine it’s not easy to keep more than 20 people attentive and interested for such a long time, especially when you’re telling the history of a country and a people that are not your own. But Luis absolutely did it. He kept everyone engaged, entertained, and enjoying the experience for almost three hours. Thank you, Luis. You mentioned that having Argentines on the tour adds a bit of complexity to your work, because the history you tell is something that deeply runs through us. Even so, I thought the way you shared our stories was excellent. Thank you for accompanying us and for telling the stories of Argentina and Buenos Aires in such an engaging way.
This was our first of two free walking tours in Buenos Aires. It was a great way to be introduced to the city's history, culture, and aesthetic.
