Hi! I’m Imi Tërnava, a local guide based in Prishtina and the founder of Traveks. I have a background in law and a passion for sharing Kosovo’s history, culture and everyday life. Having lived through Kosovo’s pre-war, wartime and post-war years, I bring personal memories and firsthand perspectives to the stories we explore together. Working in different professions has introduced me to people from many backgrounds, helping me connect with visitors and make everyone feel welcome. Since founding Traveks in 2014, I’ve organised cultural and adventure tours across Kosovo and the Balkans and promoted Kosovo at international tourism fairs. I hold an IATA diploma in Travel and Tourism and have completed ATTA AdventureEDU training. On my walking tours, we discover Prishtina’s main landmarks alongside local stories, café culture and places you might otherwise miss. My goal is to offer a relaxed, personal experience with time for questions, conversation and a closer look at local life. Beyond Prishtina, I also organise private day trips with a car and driver. Destinations include the Bear Sanctuary, Gračanica Monastery, Peja and the Patriarchate of Peja, Gjakova and Prizren. Each trip can be tailored to your interests and available time.
