This was the perfect tour to start your stay in Malang. You’ll get a great (and if interested very detailed) overview of the history and the city center. We could ask anything and had some lovely chats with the guide. Apart from the city sights he also pointed out some lovely and/or authentic places to get food and drinks. This was very helpful for our stay here. We can recommend this tour!

5 STARS ALL THE WAY!! I had such a wonderful time on this walking tour in Malang! From the moment we started, our guide was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the city. We explored beautiful neighborhoods, learned about Malang’s rich history and culture, and got to see some hidden gems, such as the flower market that I never would’ve found on my own. One of my favorite parts was visiting the colorful village (Kampung Warna-Warni) and learning how the community transformed it into a vibrant work of art. The guide also shared great stories and insights about colonial architecture, local food, and traditional Javanese life. The pace of the tour was just right—not too fast, not too slow—and there were plenty of chances to take photos and ask questions. I really appreciated the personal touch and how much effort the guide put into making sure everyone had a great experience. If you’re visiting Malang, I highly recommend booking this walking tour. Due to the low season, we were the only two participants. So in fact we received a private tour. You learn a lot about the Dutch period and buildings in Malang. Galih Adi is a great tourguide. His English is good and he is super friendly. We certainly recommend this tour.

Although it was only Adi with his colleague and I on the tour I had an interesting few hours. Good variety in what we saw and plenty of background information. By doing this tour you get a great overview of Malang
