Julian was very knowledgeable about the Latin America history. He gave us great information about the fruits and we tried so many different fruits. We were full after our tour! Everything was delicious. The market is also very clean and organized. Julian made it so easy to navigate the market, taught us how to pick the right fruits. Highly recommend to do this.

This was a fantastic tour that took place in the Central Mayorista market - not somewhere we’d otherwise have gone. Julian gave us lots of information not just about the fruits we tried, but also the history of Colombia and of Medellin, and how some of the fruits are important to the region, nation and economy. We tried about 15 fruits in all (included in the tour, no extra cost), some familiar and some new to us. Our group was surprisingly large - about 15 people - which I think would normally have not been ideal, but since we went the day after Christmas, the market was quiet so the large group didn’t seem very disruptive to the vendors or shoppers. Overall, I was looking forward to this tour and it exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

Thanks to Juan that we didn't have to pay for any fruits anywhere and nobody at the market asked for tips but was very friendly and respectful. This fruit tour in Medellín far exceeded my expectations! 🌿🍊 It wasn’t just about sampling some of the most delicious and unique fruits I’ve ever tasted (though that alone was worth it!)—it was also a deep dive into Colombia’s history, culture, and the fascinating stories of how these fruits came to be here. Juan wove together flavor, knowledge, and history in such an engaging way that I walked away not only full, but with a real appreciation for the richness of Colombia. Easily one of the most memorable experiences of my trip and one of the best tours I've done in all of South America.
