Free walking tours in Tiraspol

I had the absolute pleasure of spending 7 hours in Tiraspol with Alexander, and I can confidently say he is the best guide I have ever had in Europe. I have visited more than 50 countries across Europe and taken many free walking tours, but Alexander stands out far above the rest. His tour was not just a standard sightseeing walk—it was a deep, authentic experience of Transnistria. Alexander didn’t limit the visit to the typical tourist landmarks of Tiraspol. Instead, he drove us through the city and showed us both the touristic highlights and the real everyday life of Pridnestrovie. We explored neighborhoods, local areas that visitors rarely see, and gained genuine insight into the culture, history, and current reality of this unique place. What makes Alexander exceptional is his knowledge, honesty, and ability to explain the complex history and political situation of Transnistria in a balanced and fascinating way. Every stop felt meaningful, and every conversation added context to what we were seeing. More importantly, he made the experience feel human and personal, not scripted. By the end of the day, it felt less like a tour and more like being shown around by a knowledgeable local friend who truly cares about helping visitors understand his home. To the point that we ended up having dinner together with him and the whole tour. If you are visiting Transnistria / Pridnistrovia, I cannot recommend Alexander strongly enough. His tour of Tiraspol was unforgettable and easily the best guided experience I’ve had in Europe. Do not visit Transnistria without touring it with him.

Alexander è un ragazzo molto giovane ma questo non ha inficiato nella qualità del tour, anzi! Alexander è appassionato di storia e sarà contento di rispondere alla vostre domande quindi fatene più possibili. Il tour però non è solo storia ma anche un giro al supermercato assieme e tante curiosità! Unico problema sono state le tempistiche, il tour è durato un po' più del previsto ma anche per nostra colpa dato che ci siamo persi a fare tante cose, Alexander però è stato super disponibile anche nell'aiutarci ad organizzare le nostre attività

Incredible tour! Incredible person! The city was interesting, but the guru was even cooler) Alexander is the guy who won't let u be bored. I can recommend that this guy does his job perfectly :)

Incredible day with a small group. Alexander went above and beyond, showing us the real Tiraspol, more than just the monuments that tourists go to. He’s very smart and able to provide really interesting information about the history of Pridnestrovie and everything the region is going through currently. I highly recommend this tour, it is so much better than any of the expensive tours on other websites.
