Clemens astounded us with his knowledge! He is not only an amazing ambassador for Vienna, but an excellent historian. His initial overview was very helpful as it set the stage for what was to come. He referenced back to prior information as appropriate to refresh our memory and tie things together. His delivery was very conversational; it was obvious he had not memorized a script. We feel very fortunate that we were able to experience the tour with him.

Tour informed us about history of first Jews and next waves of Jews who lived in Vienna and their treatment by the Austrians and the Nazis without going into horrific details. Roderick, our guide was very willing to answer all our questions and was careful about wording some answers to questions that may be controversial. We enjoyed the tour and it whet our appetite to learn more.

Overall a very comprehensive and informative tour. The guide was very knowledgeable. However an easy path was taken by calling the Habsburg family anti-Semitic instead of using historical fact to explain that the family was expelling all religions from their territory, not only Jews. The anti-Semitic term has been banalised, and it makes us feel it is an ideological tour instead of an historical tour.

Christina was outstanding. Being a history major, she has a strong command of the content and provided very relevant and customized information about what the group was interested in. The tour is very moving and gives a strong sense of the evolution of the Jewish community over the last 1000 years.

Christina was an INCREDIBLE tour guide - she was so engaging, knowledgable, and did an incredible job disseminating information about a heavy topic (Jewish history in Vienna/the Nazi regime) in a way that really resonated. I'd highly recommend this tour in general - but the lucky ones will be those who manage to have Christina as their guide, because she was truly amazing. She even took the time to give everyone a bathroom + coffee break halfway through which was SO appreciated. Highly recommend!!

The Jewish tour is obviously a difficult topic. We found the guide to be super professional, knowledgeable, kind, and understanding. Our guide provided tons of information on both the history of the Jewish community in Vienna and the dark times during the Holocaust. Highly highly recommend for anyone interested in the subject. He was also very kind and patient in answering many questions posed on the tour.

Wolfgang was a PHENOMENAL tour guide! Even though this era of history is heavily taught in schools I still learned things about WWII I didn’t know about. Very knowledgeable guide and very animated, great way to learn about the history of the city!
