Tour description

Surely you have seen pictures of Old Havana: a colorful array of '50 cars, Spanish Colonial and Art Deco architecture, the remains of a once Catholic nation... On my tour I will show you this, but much more. Havana, as the cultural center of Cuba, is multidimensional. As we walk through the old city, I will explain to you not only the history and the architecture surrounding us, but also the flow of daily life for its residents, and what it means to be Cuban in 2018.

Highlights: Bars visited by Hemingway, the Castle of Real Fuerza, statue of the Gentleman of Paris, the best coffee in Havana at El Escorial, Obispo Boulevard, the Cathedral of Havana, the Fair of the Artisans, the Casa del Habano (cigar shop), the original US Embassy, various social projects, and much more!

César was a wonderful and knowledgable guide. I have been on other tours in Havana and this one stood apart for César's charismatic nature and enthusiasm to engage in conversation. It was also a much more authentic representation of modern day Habana than I'd seen- tied together history, food and life.
