Wile I booked an English tour, it was conducted in English and French. This wasn’t made clear before the start. It slowed everything down as the commentary had to be done twice. The guide was very knowledgeable about her subject and was interesting. A tram journey was involved and unfortunately we were at the mercy of the Brussels transport network. All trams ground to a halt for half an hour, resulting in further walking and more delay. Not the fault of the tour company, I know, but it prolonged the walk even more.

We book a tour on English (there was another available on French), so it was quite a surprise when we arrived, and the guide told us, she would give the tour in english and in french... such a pitty, we were so looking forward to get to hear and discover about the Art Noveau architecture in the city, but even when the guide seemed to be friendly and well informed, we found the whole two language sudden switch was stressing so we decided to leave at the second spot.

A great experience. Our guide was able to explain things outside of the tour material and answer our questions.
