Type of Tour: Guided Walking Tour on Sharing Basis. (Small Group Tour Max 8 guests) Tour Operates: Every Monday & Thursday. Tour Timing: Total 3 to 4 hrs. Overall Walking: 03 Kms approx on uneven surfaces. Language: English only Starting Place: Madras Cafe. Near Ram Jhula Auto / Car Parking. Cafe is just near the entrance to the market below double floor parking. Guide will meet you here. Places To Visit: In this tour we will visit Sivananda Ashram, Ram Jhula Bridge, Swargashram Market, Gita Bhawan Ashram and Parmarth Niketan Ashram. Evening Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan is also part of the tour. Guide will explain about places you visit and apart from that you will also get some interesting information on Rishikesh, ashrams, temples, hindu religion and of course the holy river ganga. Ending Place: Tour will end at Ram Jhula Taxi Stand from where you can easily get Auto Rickshaw or Taxi to your destination. Total Cost: You can pay whatever you think the tour deserve. If you don’t like the tour don’t pay. We prefer guests make payment in envelope. Entry Fees or Any Other Cost: There is no entry fees at any places mentioned in the tour. All the places in the tour is religious places so there is no entry fees. At temples or ashram some people pay donation but it is not compulsory. There is boat ride to cross the river instead walking on bridge which cost INR 10 per person. Boat doesn’t work after sunset. Starting Time: Dec & Jan – 2.45 pm, Feb & Mar – 3 pm, Apr & May 3.30 pm, Jun & Jul – 4 pm, Aug & Sep – 3.30 pm. Oct & Nov-3 Pm. Ending Time: Ending time can be little changed which depends on ganga aarti. Average tour takes 3 to 4 hrs.
