I'm Saba, Guru of Iran. I've studied Urban Design and Tourism and now I work in the field of cultural tourism. I'm passionate about preserving historic districts and cultural heritage sites in cities. I'm interested in wandering in cities and discover hidden great places to visit. An antique shop, a narrow winding path with a nice old house at the end or just a cozy sidewalk cafe makes me excited. I've been a partner in producing the latest edition of the official Tourist Map of Old Tehran at 2019. I work as a Tourguide in my spare time and I have guided several tours on different routes at Tehran. In my tours, I share my knowledge about Tehran and we explore the city by walking through urban fabric, public spaces, streets, Bazar and old neighborhoods.
Tajrish Tour is a mixture of Gardens, Shopping, and Culture. Tajrish district is located in the north border of Tehran, in the slopes of Alborz Mountain. It has pleasant weather with streets covered by large and shady trees. When you stroll in these paths, you feel like you are walking in a public garden! We explore Tajrish, an old district of Tehran, to see gardens, traditional bazaar and urban life. You can buy local souvenires too.
We begin walking in front of Bagh-ferdows, where is a popular spot for youth to hang out. Bagh-ferdows is a historical complex, including the Cinema Museum, Cafes, and Restaurant which are located in a beautiful garden. We continue our way to Iranian Art Museum Garden, where we see a number of small-sized models of Iranian monuments there. Then we walk through Tajrish neighborhood and learn more about its history until we arrive at Tajrish Bazar. Bazar is not only a place for shopping but also a place where you can see the every-day life of people and their interactions. We also visit Imamzedeh Saleh Shrine & Tekye Tajrish which are located in Tajrish Bazar. Then we go to Tajrish square and talk about the history and form of this popular square in the north of Tehran. In the end, for lunch, we have many great restaurants serving delicious food including kabab and other Iranian dishes.
