Hello, my name is Brian and I've been guiding in Edinburgh, Scotland and London for 15 years and very much enjoy showing this fabulous city of Edinburgh to the world. I spent 11 years working at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Queens Official Residence in Scotland, before studying in London for a year to gain a Special Diploma in Tour Guiding. Today, my focus is on Edinburgh and Scotland and I love learning more about this beautiful city and country.
This tour is dedicated to the art of Edinburgh, as there is a general lack of walking tours in the city and I wanted to provide a tour on one side of Edinburgh that is ignored by other tours.
You should book this tour as it is very different from anything else you might experience in Edinburgh.
The walking tour includes a number of different sites in Edinburgh's 18th / 19th century New Town:
The tour includes my guide fees. Anything else like food, drink, etc. It is not included in the price. I would advise those attending to wear appropriate clothing for the weather and to bring an umbrella.
Meeting point: Open in Google Maps
How to find me: I'll be at 8 Charlotte Square, with glasses and an umbrella in hand.

Brian led us around Edinburgh for two hours and showed us various interesting things we would not have stumbled upon by ourselves. He also recommended places we should aim to visit during the rest of our stay. We recommend to take the tour if you would like to be informed from someone who really knows the place!
Pleasant walk with a pleasant company. Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Interesting information
Bryan was a great guide. Knowledgeable about the subject and easy to talk to. Would recommend
We really enjoyed our tour with Brian! We appreciated his passion for the city and learned so many things. We also got some very nice recommendation for local pubs (and deep fried mars bar) !!
Brian is one of the best walking guides I’ve ever met (I’d joined walking tours almost in every city I’ve travelled to), he knows a lot about Edinburgh, the changes the city has gone through. I was expecting the art walking tour would be a bit boring to be honest, but it turned out to be extremely fun and both myself and my partner really enjoyed it.
