Hi and a big welcome to the largest Medina in the world. My name is Abdou. I was born and raised in Fes, Morocco. I'm an authorised and qualified tour guide. I also hold an M.A. degree in English, which is very crucial to pass the information to my guests with great fluency and ease. Fes is a mysterious and fascinating city with a lot of hidden secrets; and I'm very passionate about sharing these secrets and events with my guests. I not only have a broad knowledge of Fes history, traditions and culture, but I have also designed a tour whereby my guests will be involved in sharing these values with locals; which they wouldn't be able to do if they were on their own. I take tourists through the back and very narrow twisting alleyways which are not listed in GPSs and Maps. We're delighted to guide you through an authentic and enriching experience. During this tour, we’ll explore the residential areas of Fes, where you’ll discover the unique architecture of our homes and uncover many hidden secrets behind their design.

Along the way, you’ll gain insight into our rich culture, traditions, and everyday way of life. We’ll also dive into the FEScinating layout of our streets and the meaning behind various traditional signs and details you might otherwise overlook.

Our journey will continue through the vibrant souks (markets), where you’ll witness skilled artisans at work and experience the essence of Moroccan craftsmanship, including a visit to the famous Chouara Tannery.

We’ll also stop outside some of the most iconic historical landmarks of Fes, such as the world’s oldest university, Al Quaraouiyine (from outside), the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss(from outside), Chouara leather Tannery, Al-Attarine Madrasa (from outside), Place Seffarine, Fabrics Dyers square, Kifah kissariya, Al Attarine Street.

The tour will end at the main road near Mederssa Attarine, leading to the Blue Gate or the post office via Talaa Kbira/Talaa Sghira.
