Hello! My name is Leo! I was born and live in Vilnius, a city that is my great love. Years ago I finished my history studies, my other great passion. Then fate took me to Spain where I spent a few years. Back in Vilnius, I work as a tour guide. It has been ten years since I am still happy walking through your old neighborhood every day. It's my job. I am a collector of authentic stories from my city.
Let's put aside the encyclopedias and the academic style. We're on a trip! I will tell you a bit of history, art and anecdotes that happened in this city (and continue to happen). A Vilnius that you will not find in travel books! Sign up for a fun visit to the most important places. We will start in La Plaza de la Catedral. Here many monuments and some surprising curiosities await you. We continue with the beautiful Presidential Palace to know the latest news on Lithuanian politics. Next to it, we will find the University of Vilnius, a monumental architectural complex that keeps a lot of history within its walls. We cross the old Jewish quarter, currently the elegant Crystal Quarter. The Plaza del Ayuntamiento and its surroundings is another stop on the walk. More churches, portals and unusual things. We finish at the Puerta de la Aurora and the city wall * * no, the famous Gothic corner of the churches of Santa Ana and San Francisco we are not going to miss it, as well as other things that are not mentioned because they want to surprise you !
The Bell Tower of the Cathedral has some stairs. See you there!
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
