Savannah Adventures free walking tour to Victoria Falls Bridge
My name is Prince Tee and together with Junio Gee we are part of Savannah Adventures and licensed and experienced safari guides. I am a fun person that loves meeting guests from all over the world and show around my hometown, Victoria Falls. I have been guiding for almost four years and I enjoy bringing our warm African culture and traditions closer to our visitors, so they can spread a bit of the magic of Zimbabwe to the rest of the world. New in our Savannah Adventures Team is Junior Gee that does walking tours, Taf Mash he is responsible for design and online marketing, and Matt Dee for Reservations and Marketing as well.
Tour description
Don’t expect a “normal” city tour!
Victoria Falls Free Walking Tour is run by enthusiastic locals, who are happy to share their love for their hometown with you!
On our regularly scheduled, guided group tours we offer you an entertaining mix of history, stories, fun facts, and useful alternative tips about your stay in Zimbabwe.
In this Victoria Falls Bridge Tour, we will be meeting at the Post Office in town.
From there we will be walking for about 15 minutes on a path through the bush, where we might encounter wildlife such as Impalas, warthogs, and Baboons, that's why I recommend doing this tour with a local licensed guide.
We pass a local Arts and Craft market and the entrance of the mighty Victoria Falls, before reaching the border checkpoint and immigration.
You will have to bring along your passport, not a visa since we are not crossing.
I, as your guide, will handle the formalities for you in a few minutes, and here comes the best, there is no charge for you.
After the border we will continue our walk for about 7 minutes,..the spray and sound of the Victoria Falls will be present at all times before we reach the historic Victoria falls bridge.
We will walk slowly across and you will have time for taking unforgettable shots of the Falls, the gorge, and the Zambezi river below.
After crossing the bridge into Zambia we will stop by at a small Museum site where you can admire a small-scale model of the bridge, historic photos, and documentation from the time it was built.
After that, we will hike for 2 minutes to a panoramic outlook where you get fabulous photos of the bridge, the gorge, and the falls behind.
Then we will walk back over the bridge, pass immigration again and return on the paved path thru the bush where we might encounter local wildlife again, before reaching the post office, where this tour has started.
