The tour with Thabo was the best one we’ve taken in South Africa since we arrived. From the very beginning, Thabo was very patient, answering all our questions and helping us have the best experience possible. The tour was very comprehensive and ended with a lovely snack with the locals. It’s the best way to get to know this beautiful country—we’re very grateful. We 100% recommend Thabo!

Thabo was friendly, thoughtful, interesting, and very knowledgeable. He communicated with us via Whatsapp before the tour and was very responsive. The tour started at June 16 Memorial Acre which was the start of the Soweto student protest, and should be on everybody's list of places to start your visit in Soweto. Thabo took us on a local bus and taught us the hand signals that the locals used for this mode of public transportation. We ate at a local eatery featuring huge sandwiches called "kota" -- delicious and cheap. We highly recommend this tour and this tour guide!!

Thabo did a very good experience for us even nowadays that they say that is dangerous visiting Johburg. He taught us how to get a public taxi and the basis words in Zulu.

La visita con Thabo fue genial. Estuvimos solos con él y desde el primer momento nos hizo sentir muy cómodos. Nos explicó la historia de Soweto y el apartheid de una forma muy cercana e interesante y además nos ayudó muchísimo con toda la logística para llegar hasta allí. Fue muy atento, amable y profesional. ¡Sin duda recomendamos hacer la visita con él!

Tour muy recomendable que permite conocer una parte de la ciudad y de su historia, visitando puntos claves, que si no se hiciera acompañados de un guia de la zona, no seria tan interesante.

Thabo was an outstanding guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing both the history and the present-day reality of the township. He explained not only the legacy of apartheid but also the current challenges and changes in Soweto, always providing valuable context and answering all of our questions. The tour includes a visit to Nelson Mandela’s house and finishes at the iconic Soweto Towers, making it a very complete experience. You can really tell that Thabo loves sharing the history and culture of his community.
