Discover the origins of Amalfi, one of the 4 ancient maritime republics, traveling through the historic streets of the city, reach the most hidden corners of this magnificent city, learn about its history and traditions and admire all its beauties.
We will have a city walk along the ancient escape routes used by the locals when the pirates came to the city in medieval times to reach the very close coastal village of Atrani with amazing views over the entire Gulf.

Matteo was a great guide. He's interesting, fun, patient and full of information about this area which is near to where he grew up. He loves to share all of this with his guests. There are lots and lots of stairs involved in this tour so come prepared to climb. However, we are in our 70's and enjoyed it very much. There are many beautiful views along the route with opportunities to take great photos.

Matteo was very friendly from the start. Communication was super quick even if the tour had to change (because of a landslide!!). We went to Ravello, a town which we didn't even know and it was a nice surprise! The guide super knowledgeable and passionate about the town's and history of Amalfi coast. He even gave us good recommendations for after the tour. Much recommended !
