Good morning! I'm Barbara, from Florence. I have lived in Valencia (Spain) since 2011. I have also lived in Barcelona, Madrid, Vitoria and many other places in Spain. I am an accompanying tour guide, an art historian, a painting and ceramics teacher and I teach Italian language and culture to foreigners. One of my great passions is also proofreading books and so on. I love to share my experiences, my passions, my knowledge and, why not? My talents with people. I know Spanish and English.
Valencia: memories of an ancient city. The barrio del Carmen.
Valencia and its labyrinthine historic center . Divided into six districts, on this tour we will get to know the emblematic Carmen , a true melting pot of cultures . Not only that, the barrio del Carmen is a characteristic neighborhood where the "old" is reconciled with that contemporaneity so evident in the spectacular murals scattered everywhere. Churches , cloisters , squares , markets and our coffee break will make this “walk through Valencia” unique and unforgettable .
Our journey will start from the famous Torres de Quart to wind up to the most hidden corners of Carmen.
The tour will be done with a minimum of 4 people.
I will be right under the Porta de Quart (on the side facing Calle Guillem de Castro); I will have a pin with my name "BARBARA" written on it.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
