Walk Less, Eat More with Katherine
Tour description
Welcome to “Chengdu in 1000 Steps” — a short but flavor-packed walking tour through one of Chengdu’s most beloved neighborhoods: Yulin. In just two hours, we’ll explore a small area full of big flavors, hitting 5–6 authentic local food stops where young Chengdu locals actually eat. You’ll slurp spicy noodles, crunch on freshly grilled street skewers, cool down with handmade ice jelly, sip trendy milk tea, and finish with comforting red oil dumplings — all within easy walking distance. Along the way, I’ll share fun insights into Chengdu’s modern lifestyle, youth culture, and the local “bashi” (chill) attitude that defines this laid-back city. This isn’t a touristy food street crawl — it’s a real slice of daily life, where we eat, chat, and experience Chengdu like a friend would show you. The tour starts at Yulin Road (Line 3 Metro Station) and ends in nearby Yulin Park, a peaceful local hangout spot. If you’re short on time but hungry to experience the real Chengdu, this tour is made for you — come hungry, leave happy.
