St. Blaise Tour - UNESCO World Heritage
1,000+ years living tradition!
Step away from the usual tourist paths and discover the real, living soul of Dubrovnik on this intimate walking.
We’ll talk about the Feast of Saint Blaise — one of the oldest continuous traditions in Europe, celebrated for more than 1,050 years since 972. You’ll feel how this festivity has protected the city for centuries and built a deep sense of community and pride among its people.
I’ll share the joyful story of Linđo — the famous Dubrovnik poskočica (folk dance) named after the legendary lijerica player Nikola Lale “Linđo” from Župa dubrovačka.
You’ll also discover the beauty of klapa singing — traditional Dalmatian a cappella multi-voice singing, the true soul of the Adriatic. I’ll introduce you to this unique sound and share my favourite Spotify playlists so you can enjoy authentic klapa throughout your stay in Dubrovnik
This tour connects three UNESCO heritage elements:
- Old City of Dubrovnik (1979)
- Festivity of Saint Blaise (2009)
- Klapa singing of Dalmatia (2012)
Your guide with heart
Since the age of 12, I have been dancing with the folklore group KUD Marko Marojica from Župa dubrovačka. I was an amateur folk dance instructor, and for the last 19 years I have regularly participated in the Feast of Saint Blaise — proudly carrying the banner of the Parish of Mary Magdalene in the procession on Stradun.
For years I have been researching and preserving authentic Dubrovnik folk costumes, because this tradition is not just history — it’s something I live every day.
