Free walking tours in Cebu City

Fantastic tour with great storytelling about the history and culture of the Phillipines! I am appreciative of being able to get the chance to spend my first day in the Phillipines with a walking tour like this. Started with a good download of the history, and with some interesting facts about some of the questionable traditions sprinkled in there. And then midway went to the Carbon Market to try some Puta - I wished we had more time for that! Great tour guide! Recommend this tour - it is more history over a food tour FYI.

Perfect tour! Lloyd is very knowledgeable and everything he tells is very interesting. I learned and saw a lot during the tour. On top of that, we were able to enjoy some nice street food as well. I would recommend this tour to everyone!

Amazing experience with Hazel! I honestly kept my expectations average at first. I’m Filipino, so I thought I already knew what to expect from a Cebu tour. The trip was mainly for my foreign partner and my nephews who had never been to Cebu. But surprisingly, even I learned a lot. Many of the stories and details Hazel shared were completely new to me. One highlight was the hanging rice weaving activity in the tuslob buwa stop (nice owners too!). I underestimated that part, but it turned out to be really interesting. And when Hazel asks if you want to try food at a food court or at a local place, choose the local place! My mom was even surprised at how clean and organized the tuslob buwa spot was. Before we started, Hazel checked with all of us about our comfort and preferences. She kept her energy the whole time and made sure everyone was involved. She even asked trivia questions so my teenage nephews stayed engaged and didn’t feel left out. We also had a really nice conversation during dinner at the lechon house. The food was amazing. Her English is excellent, so the conversation was smooth and easy. Riding the e-bike, walking through the oldest market while it was coming to life in the afternoon, and seeing everything up close made the whole experience very memorable. Ich habe schon viele Free walking Touren in den verschiedensten Ländern gemacht. Diese Tour gehört eindeutig zu meinen Top 3. Sehr unterhaltsam und gleichzeitig informativ. Normalerweise bin ich kein großer Fan von Geschichte, aber Chris hat die Geschichte der Philippinen wirklich sehr eingängig erzählt. Zum Abschluss gab es sogar noch ein gemeinsames Essen mit lauter Leckereien aus der Region. Danke Chris.

I had an excellent experience with Hazel as my tour guide. I was the only guest on the tour, which made it feel very personal and tailored to my interests. She took me to some of the best ადგილ spots to try authentic local food, each one better than the last. One of the highlights was meeting local students, taking photos with them, and experiencing a jeepney ride—such a thoughtful way to connect with the local culture. Hazel’s tour is AMAZING! This was my first Guru Walk. I got to try different local food which was something I really wanted to do. A real culture culture dive. Highly recommended. If you are thinking about it, just book it ;)

This Guruwalk was an amazing experience from beginning to end. The places we visited were wonderful, and the chance to interact not only with the other members but also with local people made it feel very genuine and memorable. What made it even more special was the ending — a superb meal at a Michelin-recognized restaurant, where we enjoyed traditional Filipino lechon. It would have been almost impossible for me to visit so many places by myself at one time, so this tour was truly worth it. A happy experience with a delightful surprise at the end.

We had a wonderful experience on this city tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything clearly, especially the local food that we had the chance to try along the way. She brought us to Carbon Market, which is one of the most popular and historic trading markets in Cebu. It was very interesting to see the local atmosphere there. She also gave us the opportunity to try making *puso* (hanging rice), which was quite challenging for us but also a very fun and unique cultural experience. Another highlight of the tour was the lechon restaurant she recommended. The food there was delicious and felt very authentic. Overall, we had an amazing experience both with the tour and with our guide. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore Cebu and learn more about its local culture and food.

Hazel is amazing! The tour was very divers, entertaining and interesting. I highly recommend this tour. The food you'll eat is very different compared to what we eat in the western world but it's good to come out of your comfortzone once in a while. The Michelin stop was extra ordinary! I felt sick that day, had to collect all my energy to join the tour but Hazel was patient and understanding. We even made a stop at a pharmacy so I could buy medication.

One of the best city tours I’ve done. If you are looking to live the city from the inside this is a must in Cebu. We saw the real Cebu. Hazel is an amazing guide. It’s not only about food, it’s about traditions and their culture. It’s a very original tour!!
