Free Walking Tours through Imperial Gdańsk

Excellent view of the events 45 years ago. While it is about quite recent history (1980-1990) it was an era before the live revolutions (i.e. revolutions we saw live on TV, like the dall of the Berlin Wall).

It was waste time. A lot of history of Propaganda and „Solidarność” and a little bit about Shipyard. Walking about 500 m or a little bit more.

Through Zosia’s narration we learnt so much - from the shipyard beginnings, through WWI & II and into the mid 20th century. Five stars Zosia!

Tuffi was a great guide! He made this tour very compelling and easy to follow. I also joined the old town tour with him and loved that one too!

It was very interesting tour as it took us to places we haven’t been to and which were not accessible in the past. Our guide was knowledgeable and made the tour worthwhile. Brilliant tour. So well researched and delivered. Got to be done by anyone coming to Gdansk. Our guide had a massive knowledge on the background and history of the Solidarity movement and Shipyard. A MUST do for anyone visiting the City.

Unfortunately due to heavy rain we didn't visit all the places but it was still an interesting and worthwhile tour.

Quite an interesting tour related to the history of Gdansk shipyards and solidarity movement. However, the story is not given in a chronological way which is a little bit confusing. The jokes about Russians are quite racist.

The tour was informational just like what I was hoping.

A really interesting story well told, put into context with a very interesting tour. Sandra explained a complicated subject extremely clearly and kept our interest.

The tour around the old shipyard (still a working shipyard) was fascinating. Our wonderful guide made it a very interesting tour by sharing shared her understanding of Poland’s political and social history. She told us of the history of the shipyards and Solidarity and as a result made the tour much more interesting than I had anticipated. Thank you for a very educational, fun afternoon.

Filip you should become a tourism advisor to the city! That's how Shipyard should be presented and described and promoted. There is such a potential for tourism you could scale up! Filip is so knowledgeable, so much historical details that were of interest of the group plus he answered all (sometimes difficult) questions !

Once again, Kasia was informative, passionate and knowledgeable. Yesterday’s city tour was excellent and this tour was no different. Kasia’s lived experience together with her in depth understanding of Poland’s political and social history make for a tour that should not be missed. Thank you

Sandra was an excellent tour guide. She showed us interesting locations relating to the history of the shipyards and solidarity, relating them to current events. She also explained the art that has been created in the shipyards which was a surprise aspect to the tour! Sandra was very alert to how the group was feeling (it was snowing when we were there) and adapted the tour accordingly. Highly recommended!

Paul is a great guide, He was very funny and, at the same time, gave us a lot of info about the history of the shipyard and its importance to the recent political movements in Poland.
