Hello! I'm Bao Ngoc (Nana) - a local Saigonese. I was born and live in Saigon (HCMC), i'm a smilling and happy girl with small eyes. Learning and sharing culture is my hobby, i would like to become your local friend to show how much i love my country and share you a lot of recommendations of cuisine, history and local life when you will be here.
I have been a local guide of street food and culture for many years, i believe that i would bring you enjoy the real local area, history points, where you couldn't find it by yourself.
I will be so so so glad to meet you and let you know that how beauty of my beloved city.
Welcome to Saigon !!!
Nana brought many interesting facts forward about the history of Vietnam, with emphasis on the last 100 / 50 years. Especially walking off the beaten (tourist) trac war really really interesting. Her English was very good, however I’d recommend her to say less, speak more slowly and make more pauses between the sentences … otherwise there is too much info at once. All in all very recommendable if you look for a different GuruWalk.
Nana is an amazing guide and a super nice person! We had actually luck to have her very "exclusively" for us as we visit Vietnam/ HCMC off-season. Nana explained a lot of history but from a very interesting point of view and brought us to places off-road of touristic paths which we absolutely loved. We enjoyed with her not only the stories about Vietnamese (mostly about the south), but also great coffee, food and a super nice and romantic boot trip which she just organised spontaneously. We recommend her to everyone who wants to see and explore HCMC (the old 3rd district) from a local perspective. She is not just a super guide, how she builds up and interweined the stories with the places, but also a wonderful person. We felt like at home with our friends sitting and walking around. Absolutely recommended!!!!! If we could we would book her for the whole Vietnam trip and take her with us 🤣
Our tour guide, Nana, was truly exceptional! She offered a thoughtful and engaging overview of Saigon’s (Ho Chi Minh City’s) rich history, while also sharing fascinating insights into the local culture and daily life of the Saigonese people. Nana went above and beyond—marking recommended sites and restaurants on our map, and sharing valuable tips to help us make the most of our visit. One of the highlights was enjoying a delicious lunch with her at one of her favorite local spots. I highly recommend booking a tour with Nana—you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation of the city and its people.
The highlight of my trip to HCMC. A must do! Nana was very knowledgeable and the places we visited were very interesting. Recommended!
Thank you Nana. Your energy and knowledge were fun and interesting. Really enjoyed the history and unique sites you shared. Highly recommend this tour for the history and insight to the everyday living of the people in Saigon. Wonderful experience Nana!
