Hi, I´m Duncan.
From Scotland originally & Official Tour Guide in Valencia since 2011.
What am I like as a guide? I´m a native English speaker, and fairly easy to understand for a Scotsman.
I love to travel, and prefer longer, slower-paced tours with lots of interesting stories. So that´s what I´ll aim to do for you. Expect in-depth explanations rather than rhyming off dates and facts about buildings.
Want advice on things to do in Valencia? No problem. During the tour I like to chat, get to know you, and recommend things I think you´ll like.
I find Valencian and Spanish history fascinating, and have a great passion for the food of my adopted homeland. If you want to hear all about Valencia´s history and get some great food recommendations, I´m your man.
Es war eine gemütliche Tour mit einer kleinen Gruppe. Duncan konnte auf unsere persönlichen Interessen eingehen. Er hat gute Restaurant-Empfehlungen für jeden Geschmack und beantwortet kompetent alle Fragen. Sein Englisch ist gut verständlich. In der Mitte der Tour gab es eine nette Kaffeepause. Duncan’s tour is for those that want to learn the history and culture of Valencia. He focuses on pointing out great places to eat, but also takes the time to explain the complex history of the area. He timed the tour on Thursday to enjoy drinks with the view of the cathedral and the irrigation discussion ceremony. He really navigates the Mercado Central, explaining Valencian specialties. He was very generous with his time and gave us a list of things to do with our remaining time in Valencia as well as tips for navigating the city during the Fallas festival with the fireworks. Was a great way to start our Valencia trip. His English was great and easy to understand his tour narration.
