We enjoyed a lot our tour in Nara with Shinge! He explained the main sites well and took us to a lovely restaurant where we enjoyed a local lunch. It was a very nice tour.
Shigeki-san was an excellent tour guide, with a personal history and passion for Nara. He took me around the parks, temples, shrines, and shops located in Nara, thus resulting in a very meaningful and memorable experience. I left Nara feeling the need to return. Nara is so beautiful, and Shigeki-san made it such a wonderful and impactful first experience, as he knew exactly where to go and had many stories to tell. We explored a lot of fun nooks and crannies of the city. Shigeki-san explained aspects that make Nara unique, as well as introduced me to various shops, taught me details about the locals, and explained the neighborhoods in context of Nara's history. It was also interesting to hear this perspective as someone born and raised in Nara. We had a lot of great conversations, and I feel that I learned a lot. Shigeki-san was very positive, with a great vibe, and I felt very comfortable exploring the city with him. He was very knowledgeable, relaxed and fun. Thank you so much for today Shigeki-san. I hope to go on another tour with you again someday.
It was a pleasure to explore Nara with Shigeki, a knowledgeable local! He guided us through the deer park, the Great Budah Temple and the Kasugataisha Shrine. He also took us to an amazing Nara special meal lunch and to a sake tasting experience. I definitely recommend him!
