Who are we?
We’re professional guides who, by fate, changed our location but never changed our calling.
Are we locals?
Our love affair with Bilbao might seem accidental to some, but it’s far from that. We first came here many years ago as tourists. The city immediately captivated us — the history, architecture, nature, people, the mystery of the Basque culture, and the uniqueness of the language. We fell in love with Bilbao at first sight and didn’t want to leave.
We dreamed of staying to live here. Back then, it was just a dream, and no one imagined it would come true.
During our long separation from Bilbao, we didn’t waste time. We learned Spanish, traveled the world, and even founded Anglotourismo, which has earned four quality certificates from TripAdvisor for our walking tours.
When it was time to choose a new place to call home, we knew right away that Bilbao would be it. And the city embraced us, revealing even more of its beauty and fascinating stories, which we’re eager to share with you. We’re also proudly holding a Master’s degree in Contemporary Culture and Arts from the University of the Basque Country, which gives us a deeper understanding of this unique city.
So yes, now we
WALK LIKE LOCALS.
A great (almost) private tour throught the whole old town with detailed information and local customs, opinion and traditions.
Olga was amazing! She did the tour even though it was only us two joining and even spend more time than originally planned! She has a great knowledge of the city, she showed us hidden jewels in the city that we wouldn't be able to discover on our own. She gave us a very enjoyable history lesson not only about Bilbao but the Basque Country and culture in general! Do not miss the chance to have this tour! Many thanks Olga!
Our guide gave us a very interesting tour focusing on architecture, art and history. She was personable and shared her own story and how she came to live in Bilbao and her love for the city and the Basque culture is evident. English is excellent.
A great tour with Olga. Being in Bilbao for only one day it was important for me to learn about Bilbao outside of the usual internet reccomendations. Olga opened my eyes to the history and side of Bilbao and wouldn't have found myself. Would highly reccomend~
