Hey, I’m Domi, and I’ve been working as a tour guide since 2016. My journey began in the historic city of Cracow, Poland, and continues today in Dresden. What I enjoy most about this work is showing how historical events can be viewed from many different angles. In my tours, I move beyond simple “black and white” narratives to uncover the fascinating dynamics behind them. This interest in exploring different perspectives is at the heart of my tours in Dresden. Dresden’s history has many connections to Poland, and as a former tour guide in Cracow, I pay particular attention to the historical relationship between Saxony and Poland. I’m also passionate about architecture and love exploring how buildings tell their own stories about a city’s past. On this tour, we’ll discover Dresden’s history through its architecture. With its destruction and reconstruction, Dresden also offers a fascinating opportunity to explore what makes a reconstruction successful — and what doesn’t.
