My name is Deepak Karki, and I am a licensed Trekking and Tour Guide with over 7 years of professional experience guiding travelers throughout Nepal. I specialize in both cultural city tours in Kathmandu and multi-day treks across the Himalayas, including the Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, and Manaslu regions.
I am passionate about creating meaningful travel experiences by sharing Nepal’s history, culture, spirituality, and natural beauty. Whether walking through ancient courtyards and bustling markets or leading guests along high-altitude mountain trails, I always focus on safety, comfort, and authentic local connection.
After finishing my tours, sometimes I create traditional Nepali mandala art by hand. Mandala is a spiritual symbol of peace, harmony, and positive energy in Buddhism and Hindu culture.

Deepak was an authentic and earnest local guide, but our experience was quite different to others' reviews. The tour was a good way to see several beautiful shrines and temples (that we would have otherwise walked past or missed), but at times it was difficult to grasp the narrative and when asking questions we often had to rephrase several times. Deepak is keen to improve and I have no doubt he is committed to building on the foundations he already has. More experience of speaking with native English speakers will definitely improve flow and clarity in conversations.
