I've been taking part in free walking tours on this platform for over 8 years. They're a great way to start the trip and get acquainted with the top things to see and do in city. My expectations are generally modest when it comes to free walking tours. That said, this was the one of the (if not the) best walking tour I've been part of. Bartek is obviously an expert in this area and is a great interlocutor. He shared the history of the area, the people, his own experience growing up in Kraków and answered any questions the group had. He has presentation style that forces you to pay attention and take notice. It was probably also the nature of the tour (Holocaust) that is hard to take lightly. We were running a bit late thanks to the rain and Bartek was happy to share his live WhatsApp location so we could catch the group a few mins late. And good thing we did. This is not a tour to be missed.
I joined the tour and left after 30min. Very little information on the city or sights. The guy kept talking about himself and throwing some random pity jokes about himself. In 30min he exlpained the history behind 3 buildings in the city which I could google out in a few minutes.
Entertaining and knowledgeable guide. I learned some history of Kraków and had fun, despite the rain showers!
Agnes is a fantastic guide. She is enthusiastic, engaging and very informative. We learnt a lot and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We highly recommend the free tour of the old town.
